Click on Automate on your menu.
For the component you want, click on the copy to clipboard button.
Click Add user button
Check the Contact (can only receive alerts), then click continue.
Add the email of your component and click on Add user button
Go to Experience Monitoring→Uptime
Edit the Uptime check that's related to the component you want to get automated.
Under Alerting Settings, check the account you just created
Finally click Modify check
